Jeff
Jeff - any plans of releasing an update soon with the ISO support.

Thanks again ----

ALSO: I am moving in the MVP world as well... I can rip/convert to an ISO in 20 minutes on a solid machine. What are you using to convert to MPEG's and how long is it taking you.

I've just added the iso support as well as made changes to enable the plug-in to work with the .9 release of GBPVR. I will post the update later tonight.

With respect to conversion, the video archive plug-in will do conversion if you have defined a DVD directory in the config applicaiton. From the DVD list (yellow button) press the blue button. This next release incldus a few small bug fixes for this as well.

20 minutes seems about right for the conversion. I have found some DVDs that go very quickly and others that take longer. I think it may be a funciton of how scrtached or dirty the DVDs are. When I try to convert my kids favorites (lots of finger prints) the decrypt step seems to take a long time. Sometimes it even fails and I have to clean the disk surface off before tying again.

Jeff - thanks.....

VERY MUCH APPRECIATED --- on the conversion piece, I think u r using DVD Decrypter as the core (I use DVD Shrink and Decrypter) - are u also saying the output file is MPEG ... and the entire process can be done that quick.

Reason I ask - I just grabbed an MVP - and as much as I'd like not to goto MPEG's, the MVP wants this so am forward thinking - but won't do it if it takes hours and days??

Can you toss me your input on this Jeff .... again - THANKS!

LAST QUESTION - I thought I saw you post that the labeling and ID of DVD's and Shows in your app was "internal" - am I missing a piece or do I ineed to still run those sidecar apps from the install directory. Please advise... so I am not missing a step???

Thanks Jeff

You only need to run the getdvdinfo app if you have added mpeg images at a time when gbpvr was not running with the video archive plug-in not configured for use. if the video archive plug-in is loaded it will automatically fetch info from the Internet and load it into the database. If it is not running you can use getdvdinfo to update all new files; it will skip files that are already in the database. As to time, of conversion, I will run one later today and look to see how long it takes. I do a three step process of DVDDecrypt, Besweet, and MPlex. I don't know how to get an mpeg file (with mpeg audio) for use on the MVP just using dvdshrink and dvddecrypt. What are you doing to make it work?

I use DvdShrink and DVDx (to convert to mpeg2). I don't need the BeSweet and Mplex for some reason....

I just found a small bug, so I have posted a new update. Only 1 line of code changed, but oh well.

Also, I just ocnverted a DVD. The time spent in the besweet and mpeg tasks was 20 minutes. Add to this the DVDDecrypt time.

Jeff, when I try and archive a file with this new version and GBPVR 0.90 it says it is archiving but no files every get created in the archive location and the message just displays indefinitely. Files already in my archive play just fine.

Have you noticed anything like this?
