I can not edit the config.xml to insert correct MVP X/Y coordinates.

Everything I've tried results in a GB-PVR crash.

I used XML editors, EditPad, you name it I've done it.

Looking for some advice.

Thanks in advance

I have been using a free editor called Cooktop to edit the XML files.  It has been a lot of fun trying various settings.  Search on that word in Google and you will find it.  It does a good job of editing the xml files.  The only problem that I have had with it is that it locks up the print routine on my system if I try to print the files from within the program.  I tried quite a few others before settling on this one and it is the best that I have found so far.

I use plain old notepad; it works fine. After you have edited the file, double click on it to open it in Internet explorer. IE will parse the file and will show you where you have the first error. Keep repeating this process until you have no errors in the syntax. XML is very picky.

Ok, I used FrontPage and it seems like it worked.

At least it's not crashing when I try to run Config.exe.

Very strange I had to change my editing method from all previous versions to get it to wwork.

You can get a good basic XML editor by searching on XML Spy. The Home edition is free, and has some basic XML syntax checking built in.

I edited mine with WordPad - big mistake. It seemed to corrupt the registered trademark symbol (R in a circle) after the entries for CineMaster in lines 6, 7 & 8 (various supported decoders).

I used NotePad to delete the little 'blip' that had got put in it's place. Seems fine now.

i can attest to the wordpad problem. DO NOT open config.xml in wordpad!

notepad worked fine for me, and if you do screw up the file you can just delete it and open up config and redo your config. alot of the settings are held somewhere else, apparently, but you'll have to fix playback options and plugins.
