Poll: Wallpaper or tiles?

Some of Tipster's polls have sparked some interesting discussions. Maybe they address the lack of public debate threads relating to life, politics, religion etc.

Some of them are just weird... but then I don't have to click on the thread if I don;t want to.

What Zehd said really.
“If this is the way Queen Victoria treats her prisoners, she doesn't deserve to have any.”

Shame about that. I was enjoying that one... Big Grin

It's one thing to post in the general discussion section - everyone does from time to time - but IMHO this is getting out of hand; not even tangentially related to pvrs, media centers, etc..

Just a waste of bandwidth. Sorry.
Maybe we should get a new section in the forum specifically for the crap - let's call it 'The Coffee Room' or 'By The Water Cooler'. Rolleyes

Seriously, I see no reason why a group of folks coming together in a forum to discuss a common interest shouldn't be able to chew the fat. :p

After all, the subtitle for the General section is
Quote:General discussion or non GB-PVR related questions/thoughts

Groover, you disappoint me with this post, after seeing one of the most brilliant posts and a mirror of my thoughts the other day. I spend a lot of time on http://www.ls2.com bar and grill just for the BS. It is funny and informative at the same time. That is a GM engine forum but bar-n-grill is like being in a bar and being allowed to listen in to conversation and butt in or start your own conversation on ANY topic. I have preached GBPVR and homebuilt HTPC over there plenty of times. The ReplayTV AVSforum also turned a bit into a tiny bar-n-grill and that was cool too. A user named icecow in AVSforum is like Tipstir to the nth degree. I think it would be cool if a lot of you guys also posted in bar-n-grill at http://www.ls2.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=2

I agree, a subforum off of the general discussion forum would be a good idea... maybe even tipstir could be a mod
