Hi
Thanks to this forum, I just built my own PVR for the first time Smile First, I bought a Hauppauge 1600 capture card on my PC and installed GB-PVR. My signal source is Dish Network and e'thing worked great, I was able to record shows and play them back.

Next, I wanted to get the playback of the video on my 42" inch Panasonic Plasma TV. My default video card (AGP 2x/4x) on my PC did not have any S-Video output (only VGA), I went and bought a Video-card w/ S-Video

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...&CatId=318

I connected my S-Video cable to the TV and do get the Display on my TV. But have a few problems with GB-PVR:

1) When I watch any Recordings I dont have the ability to forward/reverse the recording. The only difference I have in the GB-PVR config before and after the installation of the ATI video card was the selection of the Video renderer in the "Playback" Tab. The Video renderer before the Video card install was VMR9, after I installed the Video card I got a message to select a different Video renderer. Either VMR7 or Overlay Manager seem to give me the display but with eitehr i have no way to forward or reverse recorded programs. What am I doing wrong?

2) How do I get the Video as full-screen on my TV, I see the Windows task bar at the bottom, I will play with Display settings and figure this out. The previous problem is the one I would like help on first.

Thanks in advance.

If you press Ctrl-Right/Left on the keyboard, does it skip forward/back in the video?

Do you have 'Run in window mode' ticked in the config app? If not, then it should be starting fullscreen.

Pressing Alt-Enter should toggle between window and fullscreen mode.

Thanks sub! Ctrl+Right and Ctrl+Left work fine for forward and reverse.
Not sure why OSD does not show up? Does it have something to do w/ the
Renderer? Not a major issue, just curious.

I also had the windowed mode in config for GBPVR, chnaged it and it starts in full screen mode. Thanks again!

Onto getting the remote to work now.

What OSD is missing exactly? Do you see any of it? ie, if you press Ctrl-B, do you see the file name or title when playing a recording?

There is no OSD buttons in the new PVRX2, in case this is confusing issues for you?
