...Sutton Coldfield used SID 8295 for ITV3 then. It's possible they've also adjusted to 8294 as with the other transmitters. I'm wondering if they're adjusting the SIDs on all transmitters and MUXs to bring them to a UK-wide standard list.

I guess so. THe site looked like it hasn't been updated for a while and only has a limited list of transmitters - Angus isn't there.

Beats me and I can't think of any reason why they have to be the same anyway. The whole point of the various Service Information tables embedded in Program Streams is that any device (STB, for example) can learn everything it needs just by processing the table information.

Presumably STBs adjust automatically - I remember my first Freeview box would pop up a message around 3am each morning saying it was time to search for new service information.

Sorry to quote myself - it looks like Angus is a 'daughter' of Durris (hmmm, Angus - strange name for a girl ).

Nice one... so I wasn't seeing things re ITV2/3

BTW Angus being a daughter of Durris... I've always wondered why all my muxs in the NIT table show the network name as Durris - One of my STBs does the same.

I have to admit I'd never thought about the network side of things. I've always known there were relays/repeaters for the analogue transmissions but it didn't occur to me that it all worked in a similar way for DVB-T. Doh!
