I am trying to install the HDHomerun with GBPVR following the instruction on the Silicondust web site. When I get to the part in the GBPVr config utility "Map Digitals Channels to EPG" I get the error "Unable to start bda device, check if configured properly or device is already in use".

I did some searching on this site suggesting that perhaps the BDA Drivers were not installed or some issue with filters. I have attached two logs. Any help would be apprecaited. Thanks
Self-Built HTPC with Vista Home Premium, Intel quad4 , Q6600 CPU 2.4 gHZ processor , 2MB Memory. Nvidia 7100on board Video Chip, HDhomerun .

Can you enable the log flushing in the config app, then hit ok to close the config app, then start it again and di the 'map digital channels to epg channels thing, then zip and attach your config.exe-native.log?

Did you modify your BDA.INI file to contain the HDHomeRun with your device id? I think that's the error you get when it's not in there, which I experience almost everytime I upgrade and it gets overwritten. Big Grin

Its failing to find the BDA drivers on your machine that match the names you supplied in bda.ini. This is most likely a case of the drivers not being installed correctly.

I'm not that familiar with the HDHomeRun though, so arent really able to help you through the details of getting the drivers on there - it might be worth asking about this over at the HDHomeRun forums.

Are you CERTAIN your bda.ini is correct? Try putting-in 1010C2F6-0 instead, e.g.

[Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1010C2F6-0]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1010C2F6-0
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=Output1

[Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1010C2F6-1]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1010C2F6-1
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=Output1

Try this utility:

If you are on Vista, you will need to "Run as Administrator".
