I have GBpvr with a MCE remote. It works fairly well but there are areas that needs to be improved.

In Music Library, the buttons Replay ("|<") and skip (">|") wont work. That means that I can only play the whole folder or just one song, nothing in between.

When I play a DVD I would like to have better supporty for Subtitles, but I'm not shure wich button that should be allocated for this task.
I guess that the info-button has certain tasks committed already. But the teletext button could maybe be used when I watch DVD (iso and dvd-player).

I did try the HIP program but it felt very slow and I never got MCE to work correct.

If these small problems can be solved, I have no use for external programs to help me. There may be some other tasks that miss a mapping in MCE remote, if so, I'll add them here.

It works for me. These keys page up/down through the list of songs to select.

The GB-PVR DVD player has always used the yellow key to toggle between the available subtitles, and the green key to toggle between the avialable audio tracks. Unfortunately some of the MCE remotes sold in the US dont have these buttons. My MCE2004 and MCE2005 remotes have these buttons. I havnt bother to change this default to accommodate this given there is no buttons on all remotes that are available, so the colours are still the most common.

I think I need to clarify. I can choose individual songs by up/down and I can play that song. But if i choose "Play all" and then wish to skip a song that started I'd like to skip that one and continue with the next song, it wont work.

If I go with up/down and choose a song, the player does not continue with the rest of the songs. I like the simplicity of music library! But there are some small things I miss. I've tried music library2 and Music player to see if they got it but i like my folders and Music player takes just too long to load.

The things are, to skip a song and start on the next one (with my remote) and to see info about the current song (filename or id3-tag).

As for the sub-text. I will uninstall the program I had for changing the remote to a mouse, as it too used the colored buttons...

By the way, is there a way to set GBpvr as default app to start when I load a CD or DVD??

I'm not sure. Maybe. If you can configure windows to start an arbitrary app when a DVD is inserted, then you should configure it to run "gbpvr.exe -direct DVD".

That worked well!
It was easy to do by using a tweak tool.

Sub, some questions to this:
* What would happen if an instance of GBPVR is already running? Mine is always running, and still I'd like an 'autoplay' feature.
* Wouldn't such an 'autoplay' option be a nice addition to GBPVR? Possibly configurable, so that you can turn it on or off.

PS: I guess the same option is available in PVRX2...

Going through the config.xml I found the <AutoPlayDVDs> option, that does just this: it automatically starts playing a DVD when one is inserted while GBPVR/PVRX2 is running. Strangely enough, the option cannot be selected in the config app (or am I blind Cool ).

It was disabled by default because some beta users found unexpected disk activity when this setting was enabled. It was easier for me to just remove the checkbox from the config app than fix it. Its ok to use it if it doesnt cause problems on your setup though.
