I'm at my wit's end trying to figure this one out; I'm turning to the experts for a definitive answer.

For the longest time my setup was behaving the way I expected it to regarding conflicts with reocurring recordings. If a reoccuring recording ("A") with multiple air dates was in conflict with another scheduled recording ("B") I would delete "A" and after GB-PVR did its nightly EPG update (complete reload) it would schedule "A" again on the next available air date, if possible.

For instance, I had "Rescue Me" set up as a Season recording ("all episodes on this channel") and it always scheduled the first airing (Weds., 10pm). If I had a one-off scheduled for the same time one week I would just delete the scheduled "Rescue Me" episode and after the next EPG update it would schedule the next non-conflicting airing, usually an hour later (since they typically air them back-to-back here).

Now since I've switched over to SD via the I-XMTLV client if I delete the 10pm "Rescue Me" when the EPG updates again it will just schedule it again at 10pm, even though I deleted that recording the previous day and it's still in conflict with "B"!

At first I thought it had something to do with the new show marker " *" in the pgm. title since "Rescue Me *" and "Rescue Me" are treated as different shows but this isn't the case.

What is the expected behavior in my situation when I delete a scheduled (reocurring) recording because of a conflict?

TIA for any assistance!

(I'm running v0.99.12 (single PVR-250) with EPG updates from SD via the I-XMLTV client)

I dont know what SD does via XMLTV, but it might not be setting unique show id in the file.

There were also some changes in 1.0.8 and above in relation to this, and I struggle to remember what happened prior to that.

I am seeing the same behavior using SD with the intergrated guide update. If I cancel a pending recording that I have seen before or for any other reason it gets scheduled again. There are a few others reporting the same behavior on this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...recordings

I'm not really in a position to look into from here, but if you bump this thread in about a week and half, then I'll be back in NZ and look into it for you.
