Introducing ZProcess 2.0

Stage one of the rewrite for ZProcess2 is complete. I am not planning on adding more features for a couple of months. I will be working on ZRename and ZProcess’ bug fixes. The Changelog will document the fixes as ZProcess is patched…

ZProcess 2 is not compatible with ZProcess 1.

I have built all the necessary user interface into ZProcess 2, so that you should not need to use the older version again. If you need some features like the Transcode queue from ZProcess 1, you will have to stick with ZProcess 1...

The wiki page has a way to go, but it is a good start. Feel free to post in this forum if you have any problems...

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/ZProcess

I will be starting a thread where people can make feature requests. I need to know what features are missed from the previous version 1.0

I'm particularly interested in PAL users' experiences. (Currently I'm fudging the aspect ratio math, and I wanna know if I got it right BEFORE I move to Australia in about a month)

ZProcess version 1 was quite successful because of the extreme patience its users had. I really appreciated your help then, and I ask again for this version... Please let me know of any complaints, comments, (complements), bugs...

Good luck
Frank Z

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

Great work, Ive not used any version of Zprocess before properly, but my girlfriend has been moaning about people looking short and fat on some of the files we have watched on the new telly, so I logged on to the forums looking for some (MVP) aspect ratio tips and tricks and someone had mentioned Zprocess.

So I thought I would give it a try.

Seemless install, no need to fiddle with settings, tried the few problem files and they all look great thanks very much, she will be happy now! Big Grin

Your very Tallented and I find it Absolutely Remarkable that Your willing to re-write this entire project. I must admit I have not used any of your Scripts in the passed however the need for them is Genuine.

I realize your not taking requests just yet, but if there is a list you can put my request on please do.

"This pertains to your Renamer"
I use the black xbox's to view all my videos recorded with GBPVR and gathered from numerous other places as well. My TV Shows have to be in this renamed format in order to fit the standards

Stargate SG-1 1x01 Children of the Gods (1).avi

The Xbox takes information from the Filename and then goes over to TheTVDB.com and uses their engine to provide all TV Info related to that episode. This is not a scaper so its effecient and fast but it requires that file name structure.

For Movies they need to be named like this

Stargate (1994).avi

The code to zrenamer is definitely gone. Zehd and I were talking about a more powerful version but we'll see if/when that comes to fruition. Maybe using xml from the tvdb would be more reliable than scraping epguides though.

I have been happily using version one for my MVP OTF transcodes.
I want to use version 2 but am unsure as to what the procedure is for cleaning up the changes made by version 1 so that I can setup version 2 cleanly.
Also, does version 2 support profiles so that I can use different settings for different MVP/TV's?

Within the v2 zip is the ZProcessRemove.reg. That kills all the ZProcess registry settings. That's clean enough. You don't really have to empty the Zprocess/Ztools folder. Just overwrite as necessary.

Yes it supports creating individual MVP Profiles just as V1 did.

You may have noticed that ZProcess 2 doesn't have queuing yet. But I am working on a solution for that...
