See screen shot...

I obviously have plenty of signal, all green on quality and all green on strength. I can watch any channel when I'm in the HDHomeRun Setup->Lineup->Channel Editor on VLC. My EPG comes in fine (I'm using Yahoo's yapi2xml) But when I click on live TV in GBPVR or PVRX2 I get the above screen for every channel. I've checked my firewall setting and am letting every program in. I've tried all the possibilities of Video and Audio Decoder in the Playback tab and I get the same result. I've even changed up my Video Renderer with no luck. I did notice that when I "Map digital channels to EPG channels" in the Edit Recording Source area, I see the list of channels but I can't watch them... BUT, I have downloaded a .TS file and I can watch that while I'm in GBPVR or PVRX2. I've been digging thru these forums and the silicondust ones but can't seem to find anything that helps.

System: Intel P4, 2.6GHz, 2.5Gig ram, NVIDIA GeForce FX5200 video card.

Thanks for your help!

Are you using the newest HDHomeRun drivers? Apparently they fix some issues with the signal not locking.

Reproduce your problem, then zip adn attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Everything should be up to date. I just installed HDHR and GB-PVR last week.

I just zipped everything up that was in that log folder. Hope that's what you want.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Sorry, but there is nothing useful in those logs. You'd need to set the logging level back to the Debug level, which gives the most info, and also enable log flushing in the config app.

I cant really see anything obvious. It just looks like the device fails to lock onto a signal. Maybe worth trying those newest drivers I mentioned, or possibly asking on the HDHomeRun forums if there is any logs produced by the device that can give more info.

I dont think its related to your problem, but I'd definitely try other audio/video decoders. I've never seen the ArcSoft decoder in another users log, and the Elecard decoder only rarely is seen and sometimes causes problems.

You said that you just installed the HDHomeRun last week. The latest software was released on Monday, Oct 15. To verify that you are running the latest, start the HDHomeRun Config (GUI) and click on the "Upgrade" tab. The firmware version should say "20071015".

I was a firmware version behind, but when I updated, it didn't do anything.

I changed my audio/video decoders but that didn't help either. Is there somewhere I can get/download know good audio/video decoders? I first thought it might be a re-mapping issue, but it shows that I have good signal and quality on all my channels, the picture just doesn't seem to come thru to GBPVR. Like I said before I can watch any station thru VLC, so I know the HDHR is working. I even tried to record and it let me and created the file, but there was nothing in it ( 0 bytes).

Whurlston, are there any log files I can attach that you need to see?

Here are the programs I've set as exceptions for my firewall..
GB-PVR, GB-PVR Configuration, HDHomeRun Config (GUI), HDHomeRun Manager, HDHomeRun Setup, PVRX2, VLC media player

There are more but these are the ones related to my problem I think. Are there any I'm missing?

Thanks for the help so far!

VLC doesnt test the HDHR BDA drivers, so I'm pretty sure the problem would be in there.

Hopefully there is some HDHR side logs that give us more info.

Well I got it working! I just re-scanned the channels in GB-PVR and remapped them. Don't know what it was, maybe it was the new drivers and I just had to re-scan.

Thanks for the help!
