I have been using gbpvr successfully for a couple of years with analog capture cards. Recently I obtained a dual tuner HDHomerun device. Using your guides and various forum postings I was able to get it recognized by gbpvr, scan for channels and map the channels (QAM from cable) to EPG channels.

Now when I schedule a recording it looks like everything is working except after it creates the recording file it stays at zero length. I can watch Live TV Preview successfully using PVRX2 on the recording PC but as soon as I pause and it tries to record live TV it locks up. The file it creates stays at zero size.

I don't see anything wrong in the logs I've attached. Any insights?

Thanks.

The usual reason for this is your firewall is blocking GBPVRRecordingService.exe from receiving data over the network from your HDHR.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the following are included in my Norton internet protection exceptions and the Windows firewall is turned off.

Config.exe
GBPVRRecordingService.exe
PVRX2

I tried temporarily disabling my Norton protection and it didn't help.

In the logs it looks like the device is correctly locking a signal, but delivering no data to GB-PVR, which is exactly the symptoms when the firewall is getting in the way, so I'm still guessing its firewall related and you've missed something in the settings.

Here's an excerpt from the Norton log on the recording PC during a recording attempt. 172.16.6.6 is the recording PC and 172.16.6.64 is the HDHomerun. I've examined everything carefully and it looks from this like access to HDHomerun is happening. I also see no Norton logs indicating anything is being blocked.

I've also check the router, which is wide open for LAN, and no blocking was done there. Is there something else I should be looking at?

Thanks.

Sorry, I dont know. I'm pretty sure it is firewall or antivirus related.

Turns out that 172.16.6.64 was the browser. Still trying to figure out what could be blocking.

Does it work if you set your BDA Multiplexer to "TS Mux"?
