I'm in Culver City, in the Los Angeles area, with Time Warner. I've currently got the "Broadcast Basic" - so no STB.
I've got the HVR-1600 with QAM support (correct model number). I can tune in analog no problem, and with an antenna get about 3 or 4 ATSC channels.
But when I try the QAM source, either in GB-PVR or WinTV2000, I get no channels.
Should I expect to see no channels, or a bunch of channels that are black?
If there's a filter, it's probably down at the cable box where all the other apartment units go, so I can't really mess with it.
I called Time Warner, and the Customer Service Rep had never heard of Clear QAM (not surprised). He told me I don't get digital, since I don't have the digital package.
