Good idea, hope you can get this in there somehow!

stu8080, can you try the ctrl-k (record) button on the left hand panel , and tell me if you get a search screen....from there, type in your album name....

For what it is worth in this discussion. In the 6.6 version with GBPVR 99.12 I do get the search screen

So does that give you the ability that you and cakes are looking for?

It allows me to search for the album i just saw, and play it, so yes it does.

What would be really cool is if there was a way to paste whatever is in focus in the Library screen to the search, be it artist or album.

Could that be done using the OK button?

Hi Psycik, in the 6.7 beta the search screen does work, both on the PC and the MVP, so that's fine.

I don't feel however it answers the feature request, because it involves a lot of keyentries with the remote. I can imagine that this is less an issue via the PC with a keyboard, but with an MVP remote, every keypress less is better.

Surely, this would make it less cumbersome, but still. So rather than using the search function, I switch to the album view, and enter one or two letters of the albumname and navigate to it. That works fine, but is at least 10 keypresses.... with the new feature it would be only 2. And as said, with MVP remote keypresses, less is more....
