Hit the 'update EPG' (or ok out of the config app) to force the capture source to be saved, then hit the 'Add' button and manually add a channel called 'SVideo' or something similiar. Now when you click the live tv button in GB-PVR, you'll find their is a channel called 'SVideo' which will show you whatever is coming in this input.

This thing hates me.
I did exactly what you say and it does nothing at all.
I put the wintv disc in and it tells me there's nothing to be installed.
The wintv disc doesn't even seem to have a simple program to test the device to see that it's working right.
If I look in device mangler, it shows that there is a Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (25xxx) device installed.

Am I doing something wrong, going crazy or do I have a bad board?
I've never used one of these before and I have no clue what's going on.

Thanks!

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Usually the WinTV app is included with the Hauppauge devices, and gives you the ability to test the device. If its not on the CD, then you can download it from the Hauppauge website.

Capture boards and the associated software to get it to all work can be a little tricky to install. It sounds like you have the drivers installed ok since they show up in device manager.
Does the wintv application work?

Ah, the MCE versions tend to not include the WinTV app on the CD since they expect most people are going to use MCE. You can download the app from the Hauppauge website though.

ok, doing that now.
I have to run and get groceries and pick up the little one from school.
I'll try this out in a bit when I get back.

Thanks!

OMG...
The file is like 52mb and is taking an HOUR to download.
I have a very high speed cable modem. It should download in under 10 seconds.

Is there anywhere else to get the drivers than from them?

Ok, this is retarded.
I found a site for Hauppauge in England and am downloading the 84mb file at 10 times the speed the US version is downloading from the US site.
Of course I know the UK version won't work right..
This is STUPID... And hour and 10 minutes to download ~50mb ??????? Idiots.:mad:

Awesome! Thank you soooo much.. You don't know how much stress you just saved me.. I mean like I can download an entire DVD in 20 minutes and this stupid thing was telling me it would take over an hour!?
That's dumb.
Your file came down in a fraction of the time. Thank you so much.
Got to dash and throw some stuff on the stove.
I'll try this in a few minutes..

Thanks again! Big Grin
