Hello, I have a question about how to setup

OMG...
The file is like 52mb and is taking an HOUR to download.
I have a very high speed cable modem. It should download in under 10 seconds.

Is there anywhere else to get the drivers than from them?

Ok, this is retarded.
I found a site for Hauppauge in England and am downloading the 84mb file at 10 times the speed the US version is downloading from the US site.
Of course I know the UK version won't work right..
This is STUPID... And hour and 10 minutes to download ~50mb ??????? Idiots. :mad::mad:

In the config for GBPVR capture source, did you select a direct recording plugin, and then check the box for only show the devices detected in my system? Does the MCE card show up there?

ok, I installed the wintv stuff.
There was a thing to uninstall everything.
I did that.
I rebooted.
The PC came up and said it found new hardware and asked if I wanted to install drivers. I said NO.

Then I installed the thing I downloaded from the link the nice guy posted a few posts back.

First thing is said was it couldn't find the TV card because the drivers probably weren't installed, would I like to install them now? Yes pretty please do so with great haste!

I rebooted AGAIN...

The card shows up in device mangler. (as it did before)

There's a TON of new icons CLUTTERING UP MY DESKTOP now.
So I click on WinTV2000 and this stupid box pops up and says,
"We would like to know....
Would you like to scan for Tuner Channels Now?
Yes - No"

If I tell it yes a box opens, it has US, Antenna, NTCS_M filled in, I click scan and it says "Scanning Analog" and after several minutes it says "Found 0 channels". Fine. I don't have a freaking antenna hooked up! Nor do I even own one nor will I ever own one. Arrrgh!

When it gets done with that I close it and the wintv thing opens.
Nothing. It shows some stupid picture of a building and the earth and a retarded punk on a skateboard.
No matter what I fiddle with in the settings, I can not get a picture.
Oh yeah, and I tried the radio part. It works. It sucks but it works.

I know 101% beyond any shadow of a doubt that the cable is good and that there IS video coming out of it. I plugged the cable into a TV set and the picture is magnificent.

This stupid over priced, over featured POS card does NOT work.
I'm going to send it back for a refund before I break it and give up on this stupid project.

Did you plug your cable into the antenna input of the pvr150? Do that and set it to scan for cable channels.

There should be a checkbox that says "SVideo" beside the NTCS_M. Check that box.

Yes, the s-video output cable from my satellite PVR system. It's the cable that goes to the 36" TV.

To clarify, I do not have "cable-TV".. I have cable internet but I do not have cable-TV...

I'm sending it back for a refund. I'm going to write POS on the box.
