Hi
I have an extensive collection of archived films, in various flavours and sizes, xvid, divx, xvid with ac3 and so on. I have generally converted these to dvd to watch at best quality possible using TMPEGEnc and various other tools like BeSweet. I need to know the optimum size, bitrate, cq/cbr/vbr, mp2/wav that MediaMVP will display via a wired connection and scart so I can set up TMPEGEnc to convert them for archiving. The manual says for video PAL, 720 x 576 and "up to 8 MBit" (ie 8000 kbps), I assume Audio Mpeg 1 layer 2 44/48khz? 448 kbps Bitrate ? Will it also support PCM audio ? Has anyone already built a template for TMPEGEnc ?
I have a machine that is fast enough to do on-the-fly conversion, but would rather test mpegs for sync issues etc beforehand !
