My recollection is that with release of community skin3, they are the same. See the following post http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...widescreen
There was another post (post 9 of http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=27570) that explained that the new version of gbpvr did't need different skins to accommodate the difference between widescreen and regular.

I assume your using PVRX2 not the old GBPVR.exe interface? The new PVRX2 interface and the default skin are designed for widescreen, so there is no stretching happening like you would have got in the old days with GBPVR.exe. My development PC has a widescreen monitor, and I have a widescreen TV in the lounge. You should definitely be seeing much better text rendering than you got in the past with community ws. It should also be much faster navigating around screens like the video/music/photo library etc.

I doubt I will be able to create a true WS Community Skin for the 1.0+ releases (time not on my side). That doesn't mean someone else cannot (It is everyone's skin to tinker with).
The only thing really that would be done for a WS format would be more columns in the "Icon" display modes.

i uninstalled 1.0.16 as it was crashing a lot and the text didn't look as sharp. text on ws version of community skin is much sharper.
