Do you have info on this debug tool? I can't seem to find any reference or location for it.
Cheers

Well here goes...I've had the time stamp issue on and off since i've been using gbpvr. Finally got around to looking into it and found this thread and the wiki page. So i went and got the latest and greatest drivers from the Hauppauge site.
Did the HCWClear and rebooted. Well wonderful Vista (home premium) auto installed drivers again for me. So i figured what the heck, i'd just run the HCWDriverInstall.exe and hope it would do its thing correctly. It said it updated the drivers successfully and to please reboot. I added the regedits here so i wouldn't have to reboot again. BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!! page error something or other, didn't write it down... Went into safe mode and removed my registry lines, reboot...blue screen again. Did a last known good and it booted, installing the drivers for me again. At this point it was exactly 8pm (show time!) and it said it was recording so i figured i was good for now... Well, how it was before- i couldn't watch a recording in progress at the PC but could with my MediaMVP. So went to check on the recordings with the MVP. They wouldn't play. Went back to PC, GBPVR icon was not green in the system tray, all 3 cards were Sleeping (yet said recording in the program)! Restarted recording service. Said both shows were recording. Well 1 recorded, not the other...and the one at 10pm did not record (it was pending, did not check at 10 to see if it was recording or not) Any one have any similar experiences? Suggestions?! Thanks!!

So what version of the Hauppauge 150 drivers are people using and not having timestamp issues? Perhaps you have the files that you could post? Hauppauge's site does not list previous versions
Thanks!

You could try the ones linked on the first post. They should be ok. They solved the problem for dozens of people in this thread.

at the moment i have the lastes ones loaded from the hauppauge site with registry auto fix from the wiki and that fixed the timestamp issue i had (within the last month fresh install)
i thought they would have fixed there driver by now i was surprized to see i still had to apply it

yes, i had the same experience. I had timestamp2 and applied the fix from wiki after following the wiki entry step by step.

Wow I just checked Debugview it is showing Timestamp1 and Timestamp2 with the latest driver. Any one else seen this?
I guess I apply both patches?

yes, I believe it's a hardware flaw, not so much a driver issue, persay. But fixeable via the driver. Someone may correct me if I'm off.

The latest hauppauge drivers finally fix the timestamp issue for my PVR150's on XP. New drivers always gave me audio problems on some channels so I was stuck with old drivers. The latest driver version seems to fix the timestamp without adding any audio problems.
Anyone subscribed to this thread who had given up on solving this problem may want to give the latest drivers a shot. |
