More dumb newbie questions... I have read the FAQs and the Wiki.. :o
Is it possible to wake a computer from S3 sleep with the MVP ? Or does the GBPVR application always wake the computer ? I have an Intel Pro/100 Lan card which I have set to allow to bring the computer out of standby. The problem is unless I check the "Only allow management stations to bring the computer out of standby" the PC will never sleep, something on the network (presumably the router, or the DHCP server) keeps waking it up. The BIOS is set to WakeOnLan/PME Event and during sleep the drives are off, the fans are off, but the LAN light is on.
Also I want to be able to access files on another computer on my home network via the MVP, what is the easiest way to do this without installing another instance of GBPVR on the second PC ? So that I can navigate files with the MVP remote ? There is an explanation of how to do it in Hauppauge's MVP FAQ but not for GBPVR ?
