I have tried a number of ways of scanning, but cannot seem to get a few non-HD channels in clear QAM.
The channels are listed at http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/lin...code=87123 under channel 123. I am mainly interested in WGN, 123-909.
I have the Aver M780 card, and am getting pretty much everything but the 123 channels. Most of the "unknown" ones listed are religious channels. I have Comcast basic cable, which is basically just the OTA channels in clear QAM, since I have mountains blocking the antennae.
I have scanned with the standard QAM.ini, with channel numbers. I have also scanned with frequencies.
When I use AverMedia, it finds all of these channels, though it lists little information. AverTV6 lists the WGN as 123.116 It finds the others as well, for example 123-904 and 123-905 are 123.111 and 123.112.
When I scan with GBPVR, I get some 123 channels, but they are repeats of some of the 125 channels. On 124, I get CSPAN (AverTV6 at 124.118), but not CSPAN2 (which does come in at 124.119 on AverTV6).
Both AverMEdia and AverTV6 find all of the channels listed on teh website above. GBPVR finds most, but seems to have real problems at 123, and some issues at 124.
Any thoughts?
When scanning by frequency, it found 125 at 799500 and 799250, and it found the repeats (123) I believe at 787500 and 787250. I do not have frequency information from AVER as to where it found 123 correctly.
I could make a small QAM.INI to quickly scan the areas of interest if the logs from such would help. I don't have the logs right now, as I re-scanned the whole range again.
Any thoughts? Any way to further cross reference the Aver stuff? I have removed AverTV6, but could re-install. It might have further detailed information if I dug into it. The Aver Media Center hides all that kind of stuff.
