Hi

I have found lots of posts relating to the lack of mouse click support but what is the current state.
Basically I am after the ability to click on an icon / button or whatever the term is and, for example, the album to start playing (assuming I clicked an album cover on the display).

I can't even navigate back.

Can this be done by creating a new skin?
Has anyone done it?
How is it done?

cheers

You can do nearly everything with a mouse, but it needs the mouse wheel and right mouse button for a couple of things, so isnt really possible from a touch screen.

Normally a right mouse click will back out of anything.

I read on another post you will add support for this.

I don't know how much work that is or where in your todo list it is but...

please, please put it up the list.Smile

If I create a plugin, can I make the buttons activate with the mouse click? I see there is an onClick (or was it OnMouse) type of function. Does that return the button that has been clicked?

Basically I want the touchscreen function to control the music collection. I'm happy to write my own music plugin if I know that I can do it before you add in the touchscreen functionality.

I guess in a way I'm asking you for a roadmap of additions.

Cheers

I'll be honest, touch screen isnt very high on my priority list so it probably wont be resolved in the next couple releases.

There is an OnClick even to let the active plugin know that the mouse has been clicked. Its up to the plugin to determine what item in its own user interface was clicked, and what action to take. There is a set of base classes that help with much of this.

That plugin is on the wiki. It *should* work with PVRX2. Just make a new folder in your plugins directory called "touch" and copy the .dll there.

Ah - thats the bit of info I was missing - I just put the dll in the plugin folder not in plugin/touch

OK - it kind of works in that the touch screen pad gets displayed but it seems to be behind the main window - it was in front but I pressed X and it disapeared. How do I get it back in front?

cheers

The "x" closes it, presently there is no way to get it back without restarting GBPVR. I will try to update the plugin sometime in the next few days.
