Is there an option to start a recording Transcodeing via the web admin?

Sort of. You can transcode and stream a file and subsequently save it on the remote end.

If you mean is there a way to initiate a recording that is transcoded and streamed....the answer is yes.....bring up the Details window of the programme you want to watch (programme must be about to start or already started) and click on the stream now button.

If you mean is there a way in EWA to start a recording that creates a transcoded file....the answer is no. However, if you have gbpvr setup to transcode your recordings after they are complted then when the recording that you initiated via EWA completes it will be transcoded just like any other recording in GBPVR.

Wishlist then please! I don't want to tcode all my recordings, but i wouldn't mind browsing my collection remotely and starting some Transcodeing so they're ready to copy to my phone or psp when i get home.

Can i second this?? I think it would be a good use of EWA to navigate to a recording or video and transcode to to another format (PSP for example) while I'm at work...rather than going through the Video Library of Pvrx2.

Of course this all assumes the API caters for this

I added it to the wish list.....but it is towards the bottom for now.
