Question:
If I pause my tv and hit play a few minutes later, I understand that the system will be recording while I watch the rest of the program (I am a few minutes behind). What if I want to quit watching that program and change the channel. It looks like GBPVR is still in record mode and will record any channel I switch to. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

yes pressing pause starts timeshifting mode, to stop timeshifting mode press "stop" then reenter live tv (i think sub might add a "stop timeshifting mode" button in a later release so you dont have to exit live tv then reenter, but theres no guarantee.)

GB-PVR records when you enter live tv. Shifting channels make no difference. It will record what is displayed. If you leave it running a while the green bit to the left of the pointer is what you can rewind into. Hit pause and the green bit on the right grows so that you can fastforwad (to catchup).

I was thinking of asking for a feature that GB-PVR could FF into the future. That way I could get my numbers in before the lottery show started [Image: smile.gif]

Ok-that makes sense. It seems to act a little funny when it goes into timeshifting mode. I'm thinking that maybe more memory will help? I have 126 meg right now with a 2.0 Celeron cpu.

I am surprised it works!! You should have about 256 and upwards. 512 is what a lot of people here have. Not sure what a Celeron 2.0 is. Sub reckons 1GB processor and above. I run a 1.66 and its OK.
