Thanks for the info. I realized how the transparency of the "GuideSelection" color worked, so you don't need those "selected" colors.

Also noticed the @screenNameGuideName parameter for the ScreenName. Nice!

Thanks again.
What, me worry?

I ran XmltvExtras on my EPG and got the following:

C:\XmltvExtras>xmltvextras.exe c:\I-xmltv\TVGuide.xml
Reading c:\I-xmltv\TVGuide.xml...
OK

Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SQLite, Version=1.0.30.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
File name: 'System.Data.SQLite, Version=1.0.30.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139'
at XmltvExtras.GbpvrDatabase..ctor(channel[] xmltvChannels)
at XmltvExtras.XmltvExtras.Main(String[] args)

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

What is going on here?

you will need to put the utility into your gbpvr installation directory, e.g. "c:\program files\devnez\gbpvr\" in order to execute it.

Thanks. That did the trick. I am not sure how I missed that.

I've installed TVListings and xmltvextras, but I do not seem to get much of the "extra" stuff. About the only thing that does work reliably are the star ratings on movies. Otherwise, I only get about 10% of what I see in the xmltv.xml file (but some shows do work with all the extras, just very few). Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've included copies of :

1. my log directory
2. a screen shot of Grey's anatomy where I would expect to see HDTV, 16:9, stereo, etc. but do not.
3. A screen shot of The Unit, showing the dolby stereo indicator (but still missing HDTV, 16:9, etc).
3. screen shot of my TVListings skin directory with the icons for these extras
4. A sample of my c:\I-xmltv\xmltv.xml file where I have put all channel definitions and each instance of Grey's anatomy and The Unit in the original file (full xmltv file is too large to post). There are 4 instances of each show because I receive it on two channels, one in HDTV and the other in 480i and there are 2 weeks of listings.
5. Copy of my postupdateEPG.bat file

In case it helps, I'll also mention that I have tried running postupdateEPG.bat manually in a dos window...I get lots of error messages stating that "programme...not found in GBPVR database" where ... is a show name. I get perhaps 200 of these, but at the end it says "updated 3866 entries". I do not think Grey's Anatomy or the Unit are in the list of errors (but I just scanned it visually, so I might have missed it).

Any suggestions?

Hi,

first of all thanks for all of your efforts to track down the problem.

But it seems that I will need to inspect your gbpvr database and the tvlistings database to find the issue, as I can't see an obvious error in the attached files.
Please compress the database files and send them to me via e-mail (you will receive the address in a private message), and I will have a look.
I would also need to know if you're using the "Complete EPG reload" or not.

[edit]

Just scrolled a bit in this thread and saw that you've been the one who uses the special display name for channels. As the xmltvextras tool not yet uses the display name, that could be the cause for the extras not being displayed for some shows.
Could you please have a look and tell me if the problem occurs on all channels, or only some?

In this picture: Rating-stars are shown in the upper right and some Icons in the upper left. How do you get those?

I'm using your "TV-Movie"-Converter and the XmltvExtras.exe
