I had just purchased one of these cards to compliment my other original PVR-150 and I was confounded for a few days, I could not get it working in GB-PVR or Mediaportal (just installed it to test, I swear Wink ) I always had rainbows or black and white channels with no sound (actually the only channels that worked were 14 and 6). but it would work in the god-awful WinTV application just fine. I was infuriated. I tried everything, I tried different drivers, physically switching slots on the mobo, removing the other tuner, fresh driver installs of all version of the driver and running the tuning assistant, and on and on. and the same problem kept creeping up.

I was just about to return the damn card and when I was trying for the umpteenth time to configure the capture source i forgot to change the Tuning option in the Direct Recording Configuration to "Cable" and it was left at "Antenna". Guess what? Works 100%.Cool

My PVR-150 is set to "cable" and it works great. Talk about counter intuitive.

If you are having problems with your new PVR-150MCE set your "Tuning" to "Antenna" instead of "Cable".

I hope this helps others!

ahh, but are you hooked to cable on it? or antenna?
and is the pvr150 hooked to cable or antenna?

and if cable for both, does it tune the cable channels correctly? even higher ones? [60+]

Really it should be 14 and up that won't tune. 2-13 is the same on antenna or cable, at least here in the states it is. 14-83 is uhf.
