I have had an issue with playlists for some time and last night decided to work on it to see what is happening. First, I upgraded PVRX2 to 1.1.5.
My music files are stored on a NAS drive and the drive is available by name and mapped (\\NASdrive and X.
In my playlist the music files are something like:
\\NASdrive\music\christmas\various artists\Holly and the Ivy.mp3
If I navigate to the folder in the Music Library, PVRX2 will play the song with no problem.
If I attempt to play the playlist, I get nothing.
I don't have the log file handy, but I noticed a few things in the log file that looked interesting.
1. It appears that the playlist is parsed without error. I has a message about adding the songs to some internal list. The filenames in the list are labelled something like: \\\\NASdrive\\music\\christmas...... Is the extra "\" an escape for the parser? Is this normal?
2. Once the list is parsed, the log file has an entry for each song in the list with a message that the song is complete and it is moving to the next song.
Any ideas on how to make playlists work? I don't think that I have had them work since a couple of revs ago.
Thanks,
Mike
