the solution is to remove all keys from hip apart from start
But if you dont want to do this then
1.choose the wrong remote in gbpvr that might fix your double hit problem
(honestly the best way is to remove all keys from hip that control gbpvr)

you can map the aspect ratio key to the "*" under alternate input
by using alternate intput it doesnt have to have focus the same

anyway i have attached my config for you to try make sure you back yours up first then just import mine in and the start button should work
i have power dvd and winamp load aswell if you dont want them just delete them then hit ok and make sure you have mce remote selected in gbpvr config

the red button is mapped to bring up hip control

Advise me if I'm wrong. I have one nagging question that has probably been answered somewhere long ago. I'm sorry if it's obvoius to others. Firstly, I've read somewhere that I should use the MCE controller option in GBPVR config for this rather than the hauppauge. All I'm trying to do is start GBPR or PVRX2 using one button (Go or TV on my remote) all other buttons work once GBPVR is loaded already. I can't understand why if recording services can load up automatically, a simple button click on the remote was not coded in to open up the program without installing HIP or yet another memory resident service. I just hate unnecessary services having to be loaded as they slow up the computer and a computer being used as a TV should start up as a TV would do. Like within 10s (in my dreams). I had not too long ago optimised XP to within 30s boot now it's nearly a minute. Running a quad core that's embarassing to confess. On a side point. If anyone can link me to why my coloured remote control buttons don't do anything or why teletext doesn't work I'd be very grateful.

Did you install the alternate MCE drivers? When I had the double-tapping issue, I found that it was caused by the inbuilt Microsoft HID drivers intercepting the keypress and then HIP intercepting it again. What I did was download and install the alternate MCE drivers as per the HIP instructions, and then I set up the remote in HIP (button-by-button) to issue the relevant GBPVR keyboard shortcuts.

Using HIP Alternate Input, I have the MCEJewel button starting PVRX2 (via a batch file, with -FSE and ABoveNormal priority), the red button starting GBPVR (because I sometimes want to use Overlay over a Remote Desktop connection), the yellow button starting Config, and in each of those apps, the Power button issuing ALT-F4 (Quit).

In Hip for GBPVR and PVRX2 I remap the MCEJewel button to "F7" (aspect ration) and the My TV button to "Alt-Enter" (Windowed mode) which are useful buttons.

The way I've got it set up may not be the most efficient way, and it took a while to do it, but it now works flawlessly for me. Plus Ican use HIP for any other application I want to control without worrying about what Windows might be trying to do with remote keypresses.

Anyway, good luck!
