I stumbled upon something that I thing is either hard coded or I am uncertain where to control.

In XGuide there is a popup composite image
Code:
<CompositeImage name="RecordingPopupSchedule" size="720,480">
            <DrawText text="@Title" loc="55,105" size="350,20" textStyle="ProgrammeTitle" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@ChannelName" loc="55,125" size="250,20" textStyle="GeneralText" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@StartTime" loc="55,145" size="500,20" textStyle="GeneralText" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="Record Type:" loc="55,175" size="500,20" textStyle="SettingLabels" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@RecordingType" loc="185,175" size="500,20" textStyle="Settings" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="Quality:" loc="55,205" size="500,20" textStyle="SettingLabels" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@Quality" loc="185,205" size="500,20" textStyle="Settings" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="Pre-Padding:" loc="55,235" size="500,20" textStyle="SettingLabels" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@PrePadding" loc="185,235" size="500,20" textStyle="Settings" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="Post-Padding:" loc="55,265" size="500,20" textStyle="SettingLabels" align="Left"/>
            <DrawText text="@PostPadding" loc="185,265" size="500,20" textStyle="Settings" align="Left"/>
                        <DrawImage filename="left.gif" loc="610,200" size="30,30"/>
                        <DrawImage filename="right.gif" loc="640,200" size="30,30"/>
                        <DrawImage filename="left.gif" loc="610,230" size="30,30"/>
                        <DrawImage filename="right.gif" loc="640,230" size="30,30"/>
                        <DrawImage filename="left.gif" loc="610,260" size="30,30"/>
                        <DrawImage filename="right.gif" loc="640,260" size="30,30"/>
                        <Element name="qualityLeft" loc="610,200" size="30,30"/>
                        <Element name="qualityRight" loc="640,200" size="30,30"/>
                        <Element name="prepaddingLeft" loc="610,230" size="30,30"/>
                        <Element name="prepaddingRight" loc="640,230" size="30,30"/>
                        <Element name="postpaddingLeft" loc="610,260" size="30,30"/>
                        <Element name="postpaddingRight" loc="640,260" size="30,30"/>
        </CompositeImage>

I wanted to move all the components upward by 10 pixels and also tighten the gap between the left and right arrow.

Here is my results..
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

As you can see, the selector image isn't moved 10 upward, and I don't know how to move it. Also, the first arrows are not controlled in that composite image either.

Ideas?

Hi Fatman_do

Congrats on the 6-0 coaching season. Sorry for the delay I wasn't home last night, went to watch the Cowboys game in HD at my brother's place. How 'bout them Cowboys!

The recording type is editable in some situations and non editable in others so those arrows are optional and are in their own composite image called RecordingTypeArrows. The RecordingEditCursor is the image used for that cursor bar. Give these a shot and let me know.

I should have more spare time for XRecord in the coming weeks. My old company called me back and made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I will be taking a little time off in between jobs. Today was my last day in my current job.

Xrecord finally works for me in 1.1.5 with Community Skin but I get an error when trying XGuide and nothing happens at all when I try to use XSearch. I'm going to play around with it some more but I wanted to thank the gang who brought it back to life. It's my favorite plugin.

There's a new XSuite version on the wiki that makes the TextPopupBox and PasswordBox classes skinnable. Look for the following new special elements/composite images in the skin.

FreeSpacePopupButtons/FreeSpacePopupBackground
VersionPopupButtons/VersionPopupBackground
ConfirmDeletePopupButtons/ConfirmDeletePopupBackground
ConfirmCancelPopupButtons/ConfirmCancelPopupBackground
LockingPopupButtons/LockingPopupBackground
NoMatchesPopupButtons/NoMatchesPopupBackground

This affects the freespace popup from XRecord's main menu, the version popup (Ctrl-K/Record button), the confirm popups when deleting shows, the confirm popups when cancelling/marking as seen pending shows, the locking popup (Ctrl-B/Blue button) and the popup that appears when no matching icons are found during icon download (Ctrl-S/Stop + "Dl Data").

The existing composite image PasswordPopupBackground has changed and now allows the text to be skinned.

Another version on the wiki. The retry password popup (enter a bad password), the watched show popup (select a watched show from watched screen) and the data recording popup (select a show from video or movie screen) are now skinnable. Look for the following new special elements/composite images in the skin.

RetryPasswordPopupBackground/RetryPasswordPopupButtons
WatchedShowPopupBackground/WatchedShowPopupButtons
DataRecordingPopupBackground/DataRecordingPopupButtons

Also fixed a crash in the Watched show screen if you click Ctrl-Q/pause to toggle the display mode.

Another version on the wiki. The function popup Ctrl-S/Stop is now skinnable. Look for composite image/special element in the skin.

FunctionPopupBackground/FunctionPopupButtons

Also fixed the "Like Shows" feature in the function popup which was crashing. It scrapes the recommendations of similar shows from imdb.com as Jorm described here and lets you use XSearch to find them in your EPG.

Just uploaded another version that makes the recent & pending recordings skinnable (Ctrl-R/Red in the Ready and Pending screens). Also the popup for Icon download is now skinnable ("Dl Data" in the Ctrl-S/Stop function popup).

RecentRecordingListPopupBackground/RecentRecordingListPopup
PendingRecordingListPopupBackground/PendingRecordingListPopup
IconDownloadPopupBackground/IconDownloadPopup

Also the XRecord EditPopupBox for updating pending recordings now uses the equivalent screen from XSearch which is already skinnable.

Also added a PaddingStep to fastfind's skin so when setting pre/post padding, skip forward and back (Ctrl-Right/Ctrl-Right) will jump by this many (default 10) minutes instead of the usual 1 for left and right. Useful for when adding large post padding to a sports event in case of overtime.

Hi Fla

Have downloaded your latest files and am making good progress with the Xrecord screen.
There have been lots of changes and so its taking a while. It was quite a complicated file even before you started adding more stuff to it. :-)

I have 1 element for which I cannot locate the controlling line in the skin file.

When pressing the left hand buttons on the Xrecord screen then a piece of text pops up e.g. "You have no shows pending" (for the pending button), "Good news no conflicts" (conflict button).

How do I control the location of this text?

I suspect there is one control but I cant locate it. There are lots of fairly cryptic element names in the file. Seem cryptic to me anyway. Probably make perfect sense if you know what they do????

I'll post my latest skins when I get closer to finishing.
