Problem with Skin 3 and UBU Radio and PVRX2

Hi all,

I've done a clean install of GBPVR v1.0.16 and have been ironing out small problems for days/weeks

Most have been sorted now i but have a problem with the Community v3 skin and Ubu Radio Plugin.

I've looked through the skin.xml file of Ubu and compared it to others and i can't see that I'm asking it to do anything different.

BUT I am getting errors in the PVRX2 log when I try to load Web Radio (aka Ubu).

Relevant bit of log attached, any feedback warmly received

just to update, even if I roll back to GBPVR (not PVRX2) with 1.0.16 I get the same problem......

'OOI' Blue Skin works good with Ubu Radio and GBPVR but the same problem occurs with the Blue Skin and PVRX2.

I know I'm missing something obvious but it eludes me :confused:

Can't wait to sort this as then I can roll out PVRX2 to the whole house and convince my wife that GBPVR really does rock as it is truly the best PVR out there (and I've messed with a few)

Hi, just wondered if there was any news on the Ubu Radio Skin? This is now the only Plugin I use whose Skin isn't displaying properly with PVRX2, I can actually sort of navigate round the Plugin and get it to work as I know where things are and how many button presses are needed but I get all the large Red Crosses mentioned in another thread.

Hmm. I can't even get Ubu radio to even work on my end, and it has me stumped.
The bit you mentioned about it not working with blue under PVRX2 makes me think there is a problem within the plugin itself.

If you can post your logs, maybe I can see what image it is looking for. Honestly, I can't even get it to load up the screen, and the logs don't point me in any direction.

Strange thing is it does work for me under PVRX2 but the Big Red X appears.

Always wonder if it is something to do with which GBPVR Elements & Common Utilities people are using? But me no programmer and quite stupid!

Stopped recording service and ran fresh logs which are attached.

Ran it under GBPVR with Comm 3 Skin and then PVRX2. Ran fine under GBPVR conditions this time so Blue Skin not included.

For info:

Running GBPVR v1.1.5

Installed Communiuty v3.0.5

Have since Installed the latest Skin Plugin (but had the problem before this).

In UBU's own words taken from WIKI 'does not use the new pvrx2 visual style' however I guessed it would still work OK graphically?

Just to clarify I should have said I was using latest Ubu Radio v1.3

Reason for not attaching logs while running it with the Blue skin is that Comm Skin 3.0.5 displays and runs Ubu Radio perfectly if running with GBPVR, only get the Big Red Crosses under PVRX2. Even then it works just garbled visuals.

Wonder why you can't even get it to run?

Running GBPVR and Comm 3.0.5 skin once Ubu Radio is 'plugged in' does it appear in the menu as 'Web Radio'?

I think it does appear as Web Radio. When I click on it, I get kicked out to the main menu. I might try a fresh install this weekend on another box and see what I can come up with.

The logs gave me a baseline that I can compare mine to, thanks for the help.

Don't mean to hassle

Wondered if you'd had any joy with this as Christmas is coming and apparently the Goose is getting fat.....

I currently seem to have GBPVR/PVRX2 v 1.0.5 running very sweetly but although it runs the skin for UBU Radio is still a mis/mash.

I understand that you probably have much to do with 'normal life' let alone working out GBPVR Skin problems and guess UBU may be a lesser cry than some others but just asking, no harm intended
