silly question

for some reason i cant see transcoding when i go to record (on new pc) - is there something i have to have installed for this to work, or has something changed in 1.1.5? would like to set up automatic transcoding to save some space as well.

what are you trying to transcode?

on other installs, when setting up a recording it would give options such as the series recording, padding etc - and transcode used to be one of the the options, however on this new install the option does not appear.

it does if you set it to record more than once on mine

did you apply allthe patches on the survival guide?

so if you schedule a recording and set it to record say this time slot everyday or whatever does the transcode option appair?

however, did a repair install, seems to have come back. Thank god!

however, have another small one - menu is jerky until i enter live tv then come back out,then its smooth as silk - i think i remember seeing sub give someone a patch for this earlier but cant seem to find it...

This transcode option doesnt work, so you're best to set <ShowTranscodeDuringSchedule> to false in config.xml to hide it. It was something I was experimenting with, but forgot to disable during the release.

A couple of people have reported this, but I'm not sure what tha cause is yet.
