Reducing to size of recordings

Hi,

Is there a way of reducing the size of the mpgs that gbpvr creates, if I use DIVX converter a 2.5GB file reduces to 500MB with very little quality loss but I have read somewhere that gbpvr can not play DIVX?

It would be nice if after recording a show gbpvr would auto reduce the recording to save space.

Have you looked on the Processing tab of the config app? It has auto-transcoding options.

Yes I have selected it but in the recording directory the files are still mpg's?
