Jaggy Wrote:I have been getting ready to have a play with the new version & have been setting up the server/client as now described in the readme but have found if I set the server gbpvr config to use \\server\share\location... for it's recording directory the system disk space pie graph no longer works! I don't think I will be able to live without it Sad
Didn't notice that. Without a UNC defined, the Recordings Import will load entries that have drive letters on the server machine and most likely will not map appropriately on the client machine. Let me give this some more thought, there may be a way to leave drive designation on the server and translating file location at import time into MovieWiz db.

once again, a great release. This is a golden plugin, I'm really glad you decided to write it. Great Work

One thing i noticed is that you removed directory functions from the to do. Like having folders in MovieWiz. Is this feature not going to happen? or is it implemented and i don't know about it? I was really hoping for this, like bigtime. Just curious to see if it will get added.

I must have been a little over-agressive when cleaning up the todo list. I am still planning to do something along those lines, I'll get it added back on.

Do you envision:
  1. The defined directory names to be in the category list, each movie and/or sub-directory in the detail list, with the ability to drill-down on sub-dirs
  2. Or perhaps a category of "Directories" with each of the hi-level directories being items in the list? Ability to drill down on each directory name.

My two pence worth on this one...

I have a collection of music videos (just like an mp3 collection) and I am currently using categories to represent Artist, Genre, Playlists and Albums - a lot of categories... option 2 would definitely suit me better.

Random play moving up the todo list would be nice too Wink

I'm looking for something more like number two. I have a few hundred movies, and lots of them are part of a series. IE, there are 21 James Bond films which i have. I would like them to show up in a folder in the all movies view. So I'm just browsing through my movies, i get to J and theres a "folder" that says james bond, i click it, and it shows the 21 movies that are relavant for james bond. That's what i envision as ideal for me. But you're the one writing it. So do what you want Big Grin

also i was just going through, and punctuation still screws up yahoo searches. anything, commas, periods, dashes, apostrophes. Interestingly parantheses are fine. also, where exactly do these images come from?

From Yahoo, they come from http://movies.yahoo.com. If you give me a few examples of ones that you're having problems with, I'll take a look and enhance the lookup logic.

Here is a few from the top of the alphabet.

"Apartment, The (1960).avi" "Aristocats, The (1970).avi" "Ben-Hur (1959).avi"

They fail pretty much right away as soon as you hit search for yahoo. I have all my movies in this format, if they start with "the" or "a" i put it at the end, for organizational purposes.

Ok, I'll take a look at this for the next release...
