Is there a way to configure to have EWA send the actual media file via proper http (ContentType etc) instead of sending the m3u playlist?

It is actually sent over http:// the m3u playlist is just so players can recognize it as a valid stream to play. The m3u playlist contains the http: location to initiate the download or stream.

I do not understand. An m3u playlist doesn't indicate that the data is a stream, the http response header for Content-Type would be the indicator to send the data to an external program for the supported MIME types. Is there anyway to change this or customize it?

Correct....the m3u playlist contains the URL for where you can locate the item you are looking for....when you access that url EWA recieves the request and will begin to send the file via http:// to the client. The M3u is just a container for the address to use to get the desired file.

I guess I can't do what I want. I hoped to point the Popcorn Horn A 100 at EWA and that part works, but it wants direct http links for media and not the rather odd m3u method chosen by EWA.
Thanks, Martin

Well that was a failure not because of EWA, but because of how poorly the PCH rendered the RSS feeds.
