Skin doesn't change

Not sure if this should be in the skin part of the forum but it seems more like a general problem to me. I can't change the appearance of GBPVR on the PC. Whatever skin I choose on the first tab of the config utility, GBPVR on the PC remains unchanged. The appearance on the TV via MVP changes but the host PC display never changes.

Any pointers gratefully received.

you need to change the skin for the MVP the one on the first tab in the config page only changes the skin on the machine you have gbpvr installed on - so you need to set the skin in the MVP tab

You didn't read what I said. That's the problem. The skin on the machine isn't changing.

I obviously did not make myself clear, so, attached is a screenshot of what I get on the machine that GBPVR is installed on. It is the only display I ever get. It does not look like the preview I see in the config first tab. Changing the skin in the config first tab has no effect when I restart :confused:.

Im running XP prof sp2

Yes, the entry in config.xml changes according to what I had selected in the config tab, but the screen doesn't change. Attached are the logs. (I don't expect a reply for a while) There's "Unable to find node:" in GBPVR.exe-1.log but I don't know what that means.

Not sure if you're ahead of us here in the UK, but Happy Christmas anyway.

According to those logs you're running the 'Blue-Retro-SHV' skin, but the skin doesnt seem to be installed properly (files missing) so its falling back to the default skin?

Blue-Retro-SHV is a PVRX2 skin only & won't work with the old GBPVR!!

Is there a reason you are trying to get it to work with GBPVR??

Yes, good point - that explain why its unable to find the skin files.
