12/16/2007 : 1.0.13.0 (WizUiHelper 1.0.15.0, WizWebHelper 1.0.5.0)
  • Enhanced TheTvDb lookup to work like IMDB lookup if multiple shows are found. A list is displayed so user can select appropriate episode.
  • Memory improvements due to improvements to WizUiHelper and WizWebHelper.
NOTE: The memory leak fix is reason enough to update to this version.

As always, most current version can be found at: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/MovieWiz

Was your recording service running?

Could you re-create and send the whole log?

Next version I'll do a check that the service is running and provide a error message if not running.

I have just finished using your new "Episode Tweaker 2.0" to rename all the movies the wife recorded over Christmas to "Movie" & the sub title as the actual name of the movie (worked great thanks Smile ) I then loaded them into MovieWiz & found that using Episode Tweaker in conjunction was a big advantage for those movies that didn't have any or much description after it searched the web but had a good description in the recordings database as I was able to copy it out of the description in Episode Tweaker & paste it into MovieWiz.

I was thinking it maybe worth thinking about something that allows you to do this from within MovieWiz?

If you do an import of "Recordings", the program will attempt to retrieve any specific show information from:

1. TheTvDb.com (if it looks like a series)
2. IMDB.com
3. The EPG data the recorded show points to.

If you have the most current version of MovieWiz, and that does not seem to be happening, post an example, and I'll try to recreate.

I seem to be having a day of not messaging very clearly.

What I am getting is when I import the recordings it finds the data from IMDB.com including rating etc. cast & all that but some of them (mainly kids movies) have very little/no description, but in the recordings database there is a good description but no cast rating or anything else. What I have been doing is a combination of both. Does that make sense?

Ah, I see what you're after now. I'll see what I can do in a future version of the plugin...

How does MovieWiz handle ISO files? When I rip a DVD, it goes into it's own folder and the only two files in there are the ISO files and the MDS files. Does it traverse the hierarchy then I have to select the video.ts file like in My Videos?

It would be great if MovieWiz could see that there was only one playable file in there and then automaically play it when the directory is selected. It makes navigating more intuititive for the uninitiated.

I still haven't upgraded yet...once I find time to take the plunge from v. 99 it'll be a big plunge!!
E6400, 2 GB RAM ,500 GB + 250 GB HD, PVR150+ Adaptec 3610, RW 2 + HIP, Antec 2480 w/ mini ninja ...still using v 0.99
