DVI to HDMI cables?

I was looking at cables, to go from my PC to my home theater system. I have DVI out of my PC. So, I was looking at this DVI to HDMI cable:

But some of the comments mention that it's only hdmi 1.1. Is that a limitation of DVI? or of the cable?

the cable is just a cable with connectors in between there is no electronics in it
the only difference is the dvi cant carry audio
so the cable isnt going to limit you
as for the 1.1 thats more to do with the signal that is going to be going down the cable
example 1.1 is dvd audio but since you are going from dvi to hdmi then you are out of luck on the audio part anyway but the video will still go down the cable

It probably is a limitation of the bandwidth the cable is capable of carrying. That cable may not be able to carry a 1080p signal, but would be fine for 720p or 1080i. I always use monoprice.com for cables. Usually they're cheaper for better quality cables.
