One of our TV channels recently changed their name, and as such it threw the TV listings off (there's no more listings for the channel that "doesn't exist" anymore). I deleted the recording source and am attempting to set it up again, after I do this all my recordings are GONE! I have a backup of my MDB from the 14th, but that just puts back the wrong channel again. Is there a way I can fix this channel or am I screwed?

Whenever you delete the EPG data file, your recordings may not appear under the "Recordings" menu, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they were deleted from the disk. Check to see if your recordings are still in your recordings directory. If they are, you can access them through the Video Library menu, or any of the third-party video plugins (once you've configured them to point to your Recordings directory, first).

Yes I'm running v0.9.0.10 and no I didn't lose my actual mpg files just the listings to them in GB-PVR, which I don't want to lose just to fix my missing channel.

If you delete a capture source, it'll delete everything in the database that references it (including channels/shows/recordings). This is done so I can continue to maintain referential integrity rules in the database.

What you should do, is restore your old MDB file and just disable the channel. If you do this, it wont show up in any of the screens in GB-PVR. (If it really bothers you to still see it in the config app, you could always fire up MS Access and remove the channel manually)

Sorry, I should have been more descriptive.

Disable the channel that was there (probably change it's channel number too). The new channel should come in automatically if its enabled in your channel line up at http://labs.zap2it.com

Ok that works. The old channel name is still there, just disabled. Not perfect but I'll take it, my channel listings for that channel are there/correct now.

Still sucks I lost the list of everything I recorded after the 14th [Image: mad.gif]

I'm largely unimpressed with video archiver and my videos also, they're quite buggy and awkward to use IMO. Even though I have a ton of things in my recorded list I (unfortunately) think it's time for a clean re-install of GB-PVR, this old baby's wagon's draggin.

I've had problems twice with My Videos, I think there is a newer version now with an extra DB that needs to be manually used via the XML file. I like and use VA, but it at times get's screwy. I think I posted something on this and need to search for it again.
