Hi,

When I use 2 DVB-S hauppauge Nova-S-Plus cards I get no signal or channels.
With one card it works fine.
I tried multiple settings on "device type" and "device number".
It does start scanning though.

In progdvb both cards work fine.
In mediaportal both cards work but some channels are not found and diSEqQ does n`t work properly.

I would like to know if it`s even possible to use both cards with GB-PVR and if so, how?

I am running v1.1.5.

Thank you for your help.

I'm not aware of any reason why it shouldnt work. Are you sure you had the LNB settings set right?

Yes, I,m sure .
As soon as I take 1 card out of the computer or disable it in hardware settings the other card finds all channels on both LNB`s at setting "astra 1E,1F,,,,,, at SimpleA" and "astra 2A,,,,,, at SimpleB"
In progdvb all channels are also found on both cards at these settings.

It might be worth trying to set <BDAAutoDetectTuner>false</BDAAutoDetectTuner> in config.xml to see if it helps.

You could try setting the following registry key, then try doing a scan on each tuner, and while each scan is in progress, fireup graphedit and select the 'connect to remote graph' menu option. This should show how the cards are connected (or not connected). Post screenshots of these and I'll take a look.

KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\AddGraphToROT=1 (DWORD).

Try updating your existing entry in bda.ini with to this text:

[Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
SUPPORTS_BDA_DISEQC=3
FILTER_TUNER=Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-S Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=Hauppauge WinTV 88x TS Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2-Transport

No, still does n`t work.

Could it be that there is no second "Nova-S-Plus device type" like with the "Nova-DT #1" and "#2".
The only thing I can do is set different device numbers and switch between the device types: Nova-S-Plus, Nova-SE2 and HVR-3000.
None of these settings work though.
It only scans but finds no signal and no channels.

I`m not that knowledgeable though, so forgive me if i`m talking rubbish.

Can you check the graphedit remote graphs again, and confirm the two orange filters are not connected? They should be, which is what I'd hoped changing "MPEG2 Transport" to "MPEG2-Transport" would have corrected.
