hi, might actualy write something in here this time, lol. Have been using gbpvr for quite a while now, or at least playing with it. My setup was the pc thingy with gbpvr running on it to an ohp, and a huppague mvp wotsit on the tv upstairs. everything was working well,i think, origionaly used a gecube tuner via usb, now have a avermedia one in the pc. took ages but got it going with some help off here, ven ended up submitting some code for thjs card here. Now i have a poblem - several in fact. had a good clear out now im stuck. I want to end up with gbpvr runnjng on my pc and the mvp, and also on the laptop. HERE IS WHERE IM AT, changed the location of the mvp,now connectedvia crossover cable, but now it is only working with the huppague software. decided to upgrad gbpvr to latest release, now it says i have no tv cards. also have a kworld dvb-s, hoping to get rid of skybox, but cant find any channels. I am looking for a volunteer to help me get up and running, step by step, anyone brave enough? Please....

For your first problem you mention - crossover cable implies that you are directly connecting MVP to PC. This won't work as-is because the MVP needs a DHCP server to get it's IP address, this is normally given by a router. (the hauppauge software has one built-in).
