I think this may have occured as a result of the EPG not updating correctly (a different problem but one which needs looking at) which gave me a guide full of 30 minute slots. Then I manually updated the guide and got a filled out guide but I notice the following pending items (see picture). Note the start - stop times.

The XML only contains the entries for that title and channel and date as follows (I edited out the description etc).

The Two don't match - what happened and how do I fix it.

<programme start="20080113090000 +0000" stop="20080113100000 +0000" channel="UK_RT_1959">
<title lang="en">Scrapheap Challenge</title>
</programme>
<programme start="20080113100000 +0000" stop="20080113110500 +0000" channel="UK_RT_1959">
<title lang="en">Scrapheap Challenge</title>
</programme>
<programme start="20080113110500 +0000" stop="20080113120500 +0000" channel="UK_RT_1959">
<title lang="en">Scrapheap Challenge</title>
</programme>
<programme start="20080113120500 +0000" stop="20080113131000 +0000" channel="UK_RT_1959">
<title lang="en">Scrapheap Challenge</title>
</programme>

If you hit 'empty epg' on all your capture sources then check your pending list in the Recordings screen, are any episodes listed?

If you then hit the 'update epg' button, do all the episodes return?

Will pressing "empty epg" remove all the channel assignments?

The pending list emptied when I emptied the epg

and

they all apeared again (correctly) when I updated.

What would cause the effect I had with the empty tv guide, I guess after the scheduled epg update and then create the 30 min pendings that I had?
It's happened twice the last two times.
I have the same xml file guide for my tuners.

cheers

Keith

As an update.
This morning I got an empty TV guide again - that is it is full of 30 minute slots of no details.

cheers

Here are the logs - I didn't include the recording service as they are a few MB each.
If you need them let me know.

cheers

Its the recording service logs that would have shown what happened during your EPG update, so they are needed.
