Recordings not starting in Vista

I just installed Vista to try to get rid of my stutter problem in XP (stuttering every 2-3 minutes). After installing everything, I can watch Live TV fine as well as any recordings, however I can't record anything. I use Live TV Preview mode and when I pause Live TV it timeshifts properly, creating the buffer files.

I looked at all the log files and there is no attempt to record (logging set to Debug in Config app). As an FYI, I changed the LiveTV and Recordings folders to my 2nd physical drive.

One other thing I noticed is that they are still pending (even ones from Friday). When I try to delete them from the pending list I don't get an error but they don't delete (the items always appear in the list). I have restarted GBPVR and rebooted but they still appear. The other thing is that when I scroll down in the pending list it jumps right back up to the first item in the list after a few seconds.

Has anyone ever seen this happen?

Thanks.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

It might be worth deleting the c:\users\<account name>\AppData\LocalStore\Virtual\Program Files\Devnz directory. This would help if it is Vista's file protection getting in the way.

That worked Sub. You're the best. I also noticed that all recordings were gone when I restarted GBPVR (including the ones I had imported). I just re-imported them and all is well now.

I have a few other small problems with Vista/EVR so I will look for some answers in the forums and if nothing is found I will post some new threads.

Thanks!
