I dont think I could easily get it to work like that, but would having the full URL help?

<A HREF="http://IPADDRESS:PORT/stream?f=C:\Shows\TV\24_20002100_20080112.mpg" name="startplayback" vod ONFOCUSLOAD>

There isnt currently a call for this, so just hard code it for your test run.

Because of some tricks I had to do to get the PH to play live tv, it actually schedules a recording for 5 hours, then cancels it when live tv stops. Unfortunately I didnt think to check how long was available for until the next recording, so a recording in 3 hours would cause problems. I'll fix it for the next update.

Hi sub, got my PCH yesterday, precipice to set-up, yippee, any more on that "next update" :-) ?

Congrats. Its a nice bit of hardware.

As for the next update, unfortunately the PCH is in the "distraction I'm trying to avoid" category. See http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=1

I'm just about to leave the country for work for the next two weeks, but I'll have more time when I get back.

No worries, I'm actually pleasantly surprised how good it works (and even how OK it looks) "in the flesh" with GBPVR. There's a bit of lag (like to get rid of that twirly icon thing at some stage) and I'll need to try and get used to the remote after years with the MVP, I'm hacking away atteh return key to go up out of menus, but that doesn't work.

It's a lot further down the track than I thought it'd be GBPVR wise TBH. Hopefully in the not too distant future magic-Martin will get a dongle going and I can stick my MVP on ebay :p

I think I mapped the 'stop' key to the normal 'escape' function, so that knowledge should help you out.

Yeah, its not too bad. I'd like it a bit more responsive, but it's not too bad as is.

Hopefully martin will port mvpmc in the near future, and I'll help him get the most out of it.

I'm moving in small steps without Syabas help, but I can connect and open the two sockets so there's no problem with linux base code, and now I'm working on a general vnc client.

Great. Keep me up to date on progress.

Once the VNC side is done, we could look at bolting on the current HTTP interface for streaming files, rather than the MVP style.

Cool Bananas!

Will the progress bar and comskip make a return (latter on MPEG files only IIRC)?
