Just a quick question:

Is it possible to change the remote key mapping? I am using a universal remote with my MVP, and would like to change the skip and noname button to another key.

im not sure if its possible with a MVP, i know you can on a pc with the hauppauge remote, but no idea if you can for the MVP, sorry.

in the windows directory there is a file called "irremote.ini" and in that file (near the bottom) there is a "[gb-pvr]" section, just change the mappings in there, eg for play it is {ctrl}p.

this is for the irremote software, so im pretty sure it wont work the same way with the mvp.

it means i dont have a MVP, i can only test it on a pc.  the MVP does have some strange bugs to it, which i will never be able to test and try and fix; i think its a gbpvr issue with the mvp, since it works fine on th PC.

Is there anything that can be done, does anybody else have any ideas, or workarounds?

This is great software but my sole aim is to use the MVP via the TV with a remote control, but I cant use stop and play buttons.

I really like the customised filelists/layouts etc.

there isnt a lot i can do, unless someone wants to buy me a MVP, i need someone to try and figure out the problem and see if i can actually do anything to fix it; sub may know the answer.

Reven, I am really keen this works as it has the hallmark of a great product. I have a technical backround but (probably) not educated in the tools you use BUT I am happy to do any learning and do testing & feedback, if this would help.

BTW what part of the world are you in? I am UK.
