Getting there, but still no go.....

Ok I've reinstalled Intervideo, but it seems that GBPVR does not take any notice of the vocal settings! In DVB Dream it works perfectly. I can switch from left to right and the correct language comes out of both speakers, just as it should. In GBPVR, both languages are heard, regardless of the setting.

I also noticed that after re-installing Intervideo then going into config, the setting I choose is the setting that will stick. If I go again in to config and try to change the settings, it just reverts to the setting used on the first time after a re-install of intervideo and a reboot. This leads me to believe that opening the intervideo setting in GBPVR's config doesn't actually change anything but the actual dialog picture!

I'll get some logs, but I got thown out of the living room as other want to watch the telly. I've included a screenshot of the intervid dialog. ithe the vocal settings

Maybe I've got to uninstall Intervideo, re-install GBPVR and then re-install intervideo.?

Hope someone talks to me on this, I'm getting lonely in hereSmile

I'm reading these, but havnt had anything to add.

The lack of other responses probably shows you how common the problem is.

Ok, no prob. However do you think that something is not right between GBPVR and Intervidio as I've stated? Also how would i set about getting logs from using config? Or shall I just set up up, run live TV, exit, then post the logs?

As I've said, so close here, I'm not giving up!

There wont be anything in the config app logs that relate to storing the intervideo settings. All GB-PVR does is ask the selected decoder to show its settings page, and this seems to be working fine (since you're seeing the page). Any information shown (or buttons etc) on those pages is entirely up the decoder's settings page. GB-PVR has no visibility of what goes on behind the scene in a decoder when you change a a value and click the ok button.

The vast majority of decoders save those settings into the registry somewhere when you change values then hit ok. When you later use that decoder it'll load those settings back from the registry when it initialises itself. This is all hidden from GB-PVR though.

Ok, I'll try another a clean install of GB + intervideo. Something fishy going on as the setting have no effect in GBPVR.

Again thanks for your quick responses.

i'm also lurking around, i've got the same problem with eurosport german/english (no other broadcaster is so dumb to send monochannels as stereo). to be frank: i don't really care much about it, it's a channel i rather seldom watch for the occasional snooker game. that's the time when i mute the sound (neither the german nor the english commentator are worth hearing Wink) & enjoy the picture

Ok, got it working, set the audio decoder to Nvidia (Pure Video), and set the speaker steup from "PC Speaker" to " a receiver" and voila' the correct sound (left, Norwegian) come out of both speakers! How this works and how it has chosen the correct audio is a mystery to me!

Now I can do some proper testing/veiwing. No I just need some DVB subtitles on some channels

eurosport is broadcasting that crap via DVB-T, no satellite involved Wink
all the channels broadcast over DVB-T in germany are FTA as of now, no pay-tv available

your pure video solution sounds discouraging, i've turned away from nvidia (switched my geforce for an radeon), so no way i'll spend money on their codec package. maybe some other audio renderer has some similar options, i'll take a look into that if i really get bored Wink
