I couldn't help myself. I had to add another little thing.

My TV Networks have a show "House" listed. On most ep sites, it's known as House, M.D.

So I added a replacement table to the Enhancer. It's not that intuitive or obvious, but here goes...

In the Config Episodes Screen, Select a show from the Series dropdown list.

Note all these names should be exact to what is normally displayed in the GB-PVR EPG. (This list does not represent what a show is actually called in TVdb.com or Epguides.com)

In my example, I find 'House'. I know that I need to change it to House M.D.. So I click Add Replacement. In the Inputbox, I edit the name (add the 'M.D.') and click OK.

Now I can click Fetch Series and the correct series info is loaded, and I can query the season and episodes.

If you want to delete that replacement. Select the show in the series dropdown, click Add Replacement but this time click Cancel... (or you can blak the text box out) The relationship is dissolved...!

In this same way I could find 'Blade: The Series' in the dropdown, then Add Replacement, and in the text box, change it to just 'Blade'.

Now Blade will query correctly

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

zehd Wrote:I was going to say, that the new version saves your reg settings to a txt file. You can send that to me and I can look at how you've got it...

I was going to say that I can't see the screenshots from your first message.

But I think I know what is happening... I think that you don't have the action set for 'Credits'. That acttion applies to actors, guest directors and writers.... Rather than having a separate action for each sub cast tag, I put in just one for Credits...

If that didn't nail it, then downbload and install the latest version and send me the UltraXMLTV_Regsettings.txt file...

Yah...I'm an idiot... That was the problem. Thanks for your help!

I've been investigating your new tool and I really like it! I'd been a user of I-XMLTV for some time and think I'm getting good results now with your tool. I appreciate the flexibility in formatting! It's much better than I-XMLTV was in that regard.

I've recently come across 2 issues I'd like to report.

First, a small item... your support web page reports versions like 1.0.1.37, but the executable shows 1.1.37 on the title bar. It'd be nice to be consistent.

Second, it's appears that handling of the date tag is broken. I get my US XML data from schedules direct. I have the date being pre-pended to my description and added to my 'movie' titles. The date shows up properly in the movie title but seems to be getting discarded otherwise (it disappears from the processed XML file). I've confirmed that the date tag is being handled as expected in the oldest version I have, 1.1.2, but is broken in the next version I saved, 1.1.7 (and every version thereafter, up to 1.1.28, the last one I checked). I can post my XML files and registry settings if needed.

Thanks for a great utility!

Could you donwload the latest version, and then try one more time, (check the Commit Changes)
and then send me the regsetting.txt that is created...

Thanks. I am downloading now, but I won't be able to see if it worked until I get home. GBPVR doesn't seem to be visible over VNC.. I just had a thought though, maybe, if it does work, I can see it via the enhanced web interface. Anyhow, I had one more question:

Does it matter where the directories are at? I have ultraxmltv in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\EPG and the xml file in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\yapi2xml.

Also, thanks for the real quick response!

Oh, I don't remember seeing that regsetting file the last time I ran it..is it new? Where would it be generated in the ultraxmltv directory, or another?

Ok, downloaded new version, ran it but I still get NO regsetting file.

Here is what I get for logs:
1/28/2008 9:32:17 AM : Checking C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\yapi2xml\yapixml.xml
1/28/2008 9:32:20 AM : Loading C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\yapi2xml\yapixml.xml
1/28/2008 9:32:24 AM : Finished loading file in 3.90625 seconds.
1/28/2008 9:32:56 AM : Start Processing 29337 records...
1/28/2008 9:34:28 AM : Finished Processing in 91.54688 seconds.
1/28/2008 9:47:13 AM : Start Processing 29337 records...
1/28/2008 9:48:45 AM : Finished Processing in 91.39063 seconds.

I can't tell 100% if it's working (because I'm at work and can't get gbpvr to be viewed remotely via VNC), but when I went to the web module it showed no change.

It's all right. Found the problem. Fixed it. 1.31 is up on the wiki

Thanks for the fix - I seems to work in most cases I still have a few recalcitrant entries - it seems to be that if there is a new show marker it may still cut off the title and add the extra The,

Zehd-Love the replacement ability (was having a problem with M*A*S*H, but can fix it easily with thisSmile
Seems that a different problem has emerged when using shows with "&" in the title. When I pull up the Config Episodes tab and enter "Law & Order" et, al - two things happen:

1) The program states 'Exact match for TVdb.com...', but no episodes appear in the drop-down.

2) The enhancer creates files (in the TVdbXML folder) named "Law andamp; Order.series", "Law andamp; Order.episodes" and "Law andamp; Order.wrong.data". (rather than "Law & Order. series", etc.

It won't apply the episodes in the final yapixml.xml. I'm assuming it's because of the newly created/incorrect filenames.

It's not broken. It's something like, the date can't be in two places at one time. I have been prepending the 'Previously-shown' date tag to the description, and selected the 'Date' tag to append to title for Movies.

Especially with Schedules Direct, it seems redundant redundant, but there are both tags almost always there..

But. I think I will change that feature back so that it can be in two places at once. Check back later...

check this out.
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/EPG#toc3

But this is only a suggestion. Most programs will work with wherever you put them. The reason I suggest a simple path structure like this is so you know the flow of files...

Yapi creates xml in this folder, Enhancer has to find the same file, and then GB-PVR has to be hooked to that same file too. It's not difficult, but it's not easy.

And with the regsettings, from 1.1.28 onward, I've been saving the file 'UltraXMLTV_RegSettings.txt'

It will be in the same folder as your ultraxmltv_enhancer.exe
