OK Reven when I get a chance I will compare with others.

Meanwhile Iget around the STOP not working by keyong OK to STOP & again to START.

Re the Playlists can you help explain.

My Playlist looks exactly the same as the FILE list, only difference is selecting OK does not do anything.

Reven Hi, I spent yesterday having a good look at My Music (MyM) compared to the basic GBPVR Music library (ML). I also spent some time understanding Playlists and how they interact with iTunes. This in itself although not to do with My Music can get confusing.

All my testing is NOT via PC but using the MVP with a TV (Plasma)

FunctionLAY ALL
- ML Only by Album (via Menu only)
- MyM All Dirictories (via Unamed Button on RC)

Function:STOP via RC
-ML Flashes x3 and stops
-MyM Flashes x3 and stops or reboots 50/50

Function:SELECT to PLAY another track during PLAY
-ML Perfect
-MyM STOPS track sometimes reboots and key again to PLAY

FunctionLAYLIST
-ML None
-MyM Good (works with M3U in File Dir & XML in iTunes Dir)

Function:SCREENSAVER
-ML Perfect
-MyM Only from Main menu but when in main menu any playlist will STOP at the end of the current track

This really is the best of the bunch regarding File & Folder customisation, for any level, any item youcan choose one of 4 styles.

My major problem is with NO SCREENSAVER as I have to be wary of Screen Retention/Burn In with a Plasma.

Really appreciate the plug in and your support.

there wont be any screen saver, since the screen is constantly being redrawn to show the counter. i presume this would also be the case ifyou used the "music panel". did you test if loading a playlist with ML and then going to the main menu if it continued to play?

Yes ML main menu continues to play the list.

Would it be possible to have the counter/screensaver as an option?

hmm weird, i assume my music and music lib plays the music exactly the same way (since both using gbpvr to play the music). nah it wouldnt be possible to have counter/screensaver option, you'll probably just have to wait for sub to add the screensaver to gbpvr, or sub said hes doing a major upgrade to music lib, and just use the newer version of that.

im saying chances are i wont be able to fix the problem, i cant test to see whats causing the problem, i may fix the problem (but i have no idea when that will be). sub can test music lib with the mvp since he has one.

i assume you mean mymusic and not mydatabase.

there is one more thing you could try, my pictures has the ability to load and play a m3u playlist. load a playlist with my music, save it. point the my picture playlists directory to the same one my music uses. then load the playlist with my pictures return to the main menu and see if it continues to play.

More MVP/TV testing

When using the PLAY ALL function or a PLAYLIST...if you switch to another selection it will, from there on, start each subsequent selection on the 2nd item.
