I would very muck like the opportunity to choose from the different streams embedded in a .ogg movie-file, ie. choose alternate audio (if present) and choose subtitle (if present). In fact, in my opinion ogg should be the recommended format for video-library files Big Grin

By reading between the lines, I begin to suspect that you like .OGG files. Rolleyes

I'm curious to know what the advantages/differences might be. Also, are you converting .mpg's, or are you getting these files from somewhere?

IMHO Matroksa mkv files are the container format of the near future, so that is my recommended format. I'd rather not worry about too many splitters.

Pretty sure DirectVOB can do what you want, but you'd probably have to use a custom remote control program (Event Ghost, HIP, etc) to get it to work with a remote.

OGM is good stuff, but I think even the author of it said MKV is better.

Still depends a good bit on what format is needed. Most all of them have their place, even old and clunky avi.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

MKV may well be a better format, but my experience is that there is even less support for this format. BTW, COWON's Jet mediacenter plays .ogg files well, but i'd like to have it all in GBPVR.:p
I use HIP but is trying to get EventGhost to work... and yes, I make the .ogg files myself using Gordian Knot (an excellent program once you learn to use it).
