I installed the newest drivers from vistaview, and installed the patch for the vistaview, and gbpvr says there is no compatible hardware found. If I go back to the old nativeutilities.dll, it will find the card, but when I scan the channels I get nothing. I am assuming the cable should be hooked up to the atsc tuner? Am I doing something wrong?

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Ok, I stated that incorrectly. I guess I was tired when I wrote it. Smile The new native works, it is when I install the newest driver (6210012) that it will not recognize it. I did try something however. If I replace the xcbda.inf with the same file from the old driver, then your program will recognize the card is there, but it still does not find anything when it scans the channels. So I imagine something is incorrect in the new .ini file that is causing your program to not recognize my card?

They may have changed filter names. I'll download the new drivers and check. (I wasn't aware new drivers were out.)

Well, I have the new driver installed using the old xcbda.inf file, with the native patch. I tried downloading your alternate file of qam.ini's and it seems to be picking up some channels, but it doesn't show anything in the preview window, it's just black.

For the new drivers, the name of the tuner filter was changed. You can change your bda.ini entries to the following (Only the relevant lines are shown):

[VistaView Saber]
FILTER_TUNER=ViXS PureTV ATSC/DVBC Tuner

[VistaView Saber (QAM)]
FILTER_TUNER=ViXS PureTV ATSC/DVBC Tuner

I'll test the black screen in the config issue later today.

I'll add the following to bda.ini:

[VistaView Saber type2]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=VViXS PureTV ATSC/DVBC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=ViXS PureTV Digital TV Receiver
PIN_TUNER_IN=Antenna In
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=TS Out

[VistaView Saber (QAM) type2]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
TUNING_SPECIAL=3
FILTER_TUNER=ViXS PureTV ATSC/DVBC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=ViXS PureTV Digital TV Receiver
PIN_TUNER_IN=Antenna In
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=TS Out

Ok, so I installed the new driver with the modifications to the bda.ini file, and it found the card now. When I go to scan however, it doesn't find any channels, where before it found many. I have found a couple resources that list which channels are not encrypted in my area, but i'm not sure how to translate the information to something usable by GBPVR. Here is an example:

Zip and post your config*.log after running a scan.

I just tried this with my PCI version and this is where I am right now.

I tried an HVR1600 with the included software (and it found QAM channels) on a different PC, so I know the signal at leasts exists.

The direct analog tuning works. I tried the three different BDA tuners that showed as compatible, and none of them found anything in a scan. I noticed that the (qam) tuner had 138 channels to scan, while the other one had 68.

I have the two card inputs attached to the same cable via a splitter from the cable company and two more cables.

Attached are my config logs. I tried the three compatible bda tuners one after another: vistaview, vistaview qam, and then the ADS Tech MCE-4000 which shows up because it is a vixs chip card. (I forget but I might have modified this one from default as an experiment months ago).
