Ok, I'm not sure what I am doing wrong now. I recently reinstalled vista, and I just now installed the new version of GBPVR. When I try to use it, it says:

GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly and not already in use.

What do you need me to send for troubleshooting?

Did you set up the card in Media Center? If so, it may be holding on to the device. Try disabling any Media Center services on your machine.

If that doesn't work, zip and attach your pvrx2*.log files after trying to view a channel. If you get the error while scanning/mapping, post your config*.log files.

Yes, I did set it up in MCE. I tried disabling all services I could see that appeared to be related to MCE. Logs attached...

It's not finding one of the filters. Can you run filtercheck.exe and post the log?

Sorry for the late reply. From the filtercheck log, you should be using the (type 2) entry.

I have a Avermedia A180 which is supposed to have QAM tuning. Using the AverTV software I am able to tune QAM signals. However when using your QAM.ini file, I get the same error message as above where BDA device is not tuned/configured properly,.

However if I use the GBPVR system default QAM it seems to start the tuning process but it does not find anything. I edited BDA.ini and set my card to type 2 as mentioned in the last post. But still no luck, can NAy one help me Please?

I am using type 2. That is the only one that shows up (vistaview saber type 2).
