No live tv and recordings on client

I ran one of the machines as client with the latest GB-pvr version with xp pro sp2 (on both server and client)
Everything was working great till today, I cant watch live tv or recordings from the client.
I recently installed directx9 on the client as well as PDVD (which was uninstalled immediatly).
Any thoughts?

There is nothing obvious in logs.

From this file name I might have suspected it didnt like the non-ascii character set used Israel, but if it worked in the past, then this aspect shouldnt have changed.

update - when I configure the client to act using streaming, I can't watch tv or recordings. when I configure it to use file sharing, I can watch recordings fine. Right now the selected video decoder is Nvidia video decoder. when I play the recorded shows directly form their directory with wmp/mpc, I can see the nvidia icon on my tray, but when I use GB-PVR there's no icon.

Set nvidia decoder to default to overlay in the config app.

Yes, I know PVRX2 only uses VMR but this is the only way I was able to get the purevideo icon to show.

Thx, I can now watch live tv and recordings with the streaming mode again (only took me 4 hours, 12 reboots and 3 installs and uninstalls of GB-PVR)
